More than 80 workers of sugar refinery factory in the
city of Ahwaz gathered in front of the Khuzestan province administration office
in protest against the non-payment of their wages, bonuses and insurance
contributions since 22 months. Furthermore the renewal of their health
insurance Booklets is undone.
In the past this factory was owned by the Bank Melli Iran
and Mellat Bank, but the ownership was passed on to the ministry of industry due
to the management problems.
