Strike of Haft-Tapeh Sugar Cane workers

The workers of Haft-Tapeh Sugar Cane workers went on strike on May 15th, in protest against their unpaid wages since last month. In addition based on the statutory minimum wage for the current year, the wages had to be increased by 25%, which has not been applied yet. The workers demand the payment of unpaid wages, wage increase based on the statutory minimum and also the implementation of job classification.
Following the strike, the factory management showed up among the striking workers and talked to them, without any results.
The workers announced to continue the strike until their demands are fulfilled.
