Agency - 1300 automotive factory workers of Pooya Khodro Shargh Co. (PKS) have
lost their jobs and the plant is now shut down.
According to news, the private owners of the
factory have contracts with automobile manufacturers and due to the drop in
orders caused by economic crises in recent years, they are facing problems. The
PKS started with layoffs since January and now all of its 1300 workers are laid
off and the factory shut down.
These workers have more than five years of experience
and their wages have not been paid since May of this year.
PKS is
located in Shams Abad Industry city in Tehran-Qom highway and produced auto
lock sets such as doors, trunk, etc. and electromechanical lock sets. The
company was founded in 2003.
