Taymor Amjadi was summoned to court

Taymor Amjadi one of the arrested activists on May 1^st in the city of Sanandaj was summoned to the court to provide his final arguments.

“Acting against national security in favor of counter-revolution groups and membership in those groups, carrying placards and chanting slogans against the system on international labour day rally” are the charges against him. He called the charges unfounded and defended the holding of May 1^st rallies as a right of all workers worldwide. He also stated that this day belongs to all workers of the world and is not dedicated to a specific party or group.

Ahead of May 1^st, once more the repressive apparatus of regime was put in motion to intimidate workers and labour activists with the aim to prevent may 1^st rallies. Khaled Hosseini, vafa Ghaderi, Koorosh Bakhshandeh were summoned to the headquarter of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security "MOIS" in the city of Sanandaj and other worker activists such as Mohammad Abdipour, Omar Shakeri and Ismael Niazi were threaten on the phone to refrain from participating in the celebration of International Workers´ Day. Nevertheless, the workers hold their rallies under sever surveillance conditions in different cities around the country.
