The
director of Tehran prisons confirmed the Afshin´s death in a hospital. But as Afshin’s
sister asked the nurses about the cause of death, they said that he was already
dead before he arrived here. She added:
my mother visited him last week, he was fine. He had no heart complaint, we
can´t believe this.
Afshin is not
the first political prisoner, who died in prison, Satar Beheshti (blogger), Akbar
Mohammadi (student activist) and others died under suspicious circumstances in
prisons of Islamic Regime in Iran.
Afshin
Osanloo was arrested in 2010 and spent four months in Ward 209 of Evin Prison,
where he was severely tortured. The injuries caused by torture were still
visible up to his death. Repeated beating with cables left a deep wound in
his foot and a tumor in the scapula.
The intelligent Ministry of Regime did
not permit holding a memorial ceremony for him in a mosque.
